Skookum Rotary:  The Club That Gets Things Done

Mission:  To serve as a driving force, creating excellence in our community by providing a vision, leadership, and talent to mobilize and match available resources and needs.

Chartered January 1, 1976, the club selected the name Skookum, Native American word meaning strong and good.

As Rotarians we are proud creators of OysterFest which supports our goals for clean water, promoting shellfish aquaculture and helping community non profits in fundraising.  Proceeds from OysterFest support things such as Community Grants, Scholarships, the Mason County Science and Engineering Fair, Academic Excellence, an Interact Club, ShelterBox and other International projects.

Skookum Rotary meets each Wednesday at 7 am on Zoom during the pandemic.  Weekly attendance is expected and participating in our club events counts as a make-up meeting.  You can also make up at any other Rotary Club.

Our dues are $350 per year, payable in yearly or quarterly installments.  A new member also pays a $45 induction fee and dues are prorated.  Dues cover club operating expenses, Rotary International and Rotary District 5020 dues.

If you are interested in joining us at meeting, please contact Jerry Obendorf at  [email protected] or 360-463-6386
